Daventry A.A.C. is one of the member clubs of Daventry and District Sports Club, based at the Stefen Hill Sports Ground. The Club was formed in 1965 and was initially based at the Ashby Road School playing fields until the athletic track was constructed at Stefen Hill in 1980. The Club is entirely self-financing, with the running of the Club and the maintenance of the facilities being carried out by volunteers.

Over the last 3 years many of the facilities have been updated with the addition on a new run up for the long jump, a new shot putt area, hammer cage and flood lighting for the 100m section. The new floodlighting has enabled full winter training to take place as well as extra training days to help further develop some of our promising athletes.

Do you want to want to join the club? Then why not visit a training session on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7pm – 8:30pm. If you would like to know more please contact us via email or phone.

We welcome all athletes regardless of sex, age and abilities. Please feel free to browse the site and if you have any further questions do get in touch.

Track Update! 05/08/2020

2020 has been a memorable year, sadly mostly for all the wrong reasons, but today we are very pleased to announce some amazing news that the work to complete the track (generously funded by Daventry District Council) started today. It has been a rollercoaster of a journey since the funding was initially announced over a year ago but a lot of hard work has been going on behind the scenes to get to this point and we never gave up hope.It is expected that the work will be completed by mid-October and we hope, perhaps with a few alterations and the occasional cancellation, that training on Tuesdays and Thursdays (and the new outdoor Wednesday session for our youngest members which went very well today) will continue but please bear with us through this already turbulent period. As always please keep an eye on this page for updates, etc, as we have a few 'interesting' months ahead!
